POLISH SAUERKRAUT SOUP
Clean Sauerkraut Ingredients:
2 lb. smoked ham hocks
1 qt. water
1 onion, all around seared
1 qt. sauerkraut without the juice
2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. cream
1 egg
1 tbsp. flour
3/4 c. skim milk
Clean Sauerkraut Instructions:
Cook meat in water until all around good. Add onion, sauerkraut and salt. Beat egg. Add flour, milk and cream. Add to soup and bring to edge of boiling over. Present with potato dumplings. 4-6. Appreciate !
